    Legend of Kay sequel

Do you think there will be a sequel or reboot for legend of kay? I have an idea for a sequel if anyone would like to hear it.

I know. I like the robust combat of legend of kay and a sequal/reboot would make it better.

Tell me your idea. First heat it up, then don't write anything about it.

what do you mean by "first heat it up, then don't write anything about it"? I'll have to write about my idea to tell you what it is.

So, in a sequel to Legend of Kay, Kay meets another cat like himself, named Tay, who is more leopard like. Tay's weapon is a bow staff with scythe blades on each end facing opposing directions with an ice pick like tip on the upper backside of the blades for breaking stone/metal/bone. Kay has a new sword with a sort of barb on one side of the tip to hook and pull in enemies. The hilt of Kay's sword is about 2 times as long as it would normally be with a cord attached to the end linking to a free hanging handle, kinda like a nun chuck. This allows the sword to be whipped about when needed for faster and stronger impacts and for whipping enemies around after being hooked with the barb on the tip of the sword. Kay and Tay can also use martial arts without weapons. Their combat system would be much more robust, involving gymnastics and acrobatics. After meeting him, Kay and Tay decide to work together to deal with a new threat. This time they are facing flat faced demon like creatures with bare red skin who drove the rats and gorillas to try to conquer the island in the last game.

So, what do you think so far?

P.S. I'd get rid of those mahjong floating bell things.

I meant that you first ask if someone is interested in your idea and then nothing can be read. My English isn't the best, sorry if I said it wrong.

Your idea reads itself quite nicely and you have described the weapons also very extensively, however, this would only be a sequence. If the developers here would follow the wish, they would have to think up a lot of their own ideas in order to put your idea into practice.

You like martial arts games, don't you? I rather like games where you have to put your head in it or small games that I can play during the lunch break.

Let's see what the others think of your idea : -)

I was asking if anyone wanted to hear my idea or not.

This is only part of my idea though. I didn't want to reveal everything all at once.

My favorite type of game would be an action-adventure-brawler but few games try to combine these things and don't do it very well. usually, they have very simple/poor fighting mechanics.

My idea for a Legend of Kay sequel would also have their "magic" actually be the clever usage of static electricity that builds up in their fur.

There would be a part where Kay and Tay get captured and are made to fight in a coliseum. In this part their weapons are taken from them and at first the fight using hand to hand martial arts but eventually have the option of crafting temporary weapons from some scrap material that is given to the prisoners to see them try and use the scrap for a weapon. Kay and Tay both eventually craft the same weapon to fight with before they get pitted against each other.

Their weapon consists of three large metal hoops that are interlocked end to end, kinda like the links of a chain. Each hoop is made from a hollow metal tube with some holes in the surface, like that you'd find in some musical instruments, so the use of this weapon as you fight with it produces a wide array of musical sounds. These interlocking hoops would also conduct the static electricity from their fur and allow them to do more things with it.

When they are made to fight each other, they seem to start fighting against each other but their weapons produce some dramatic music as they are used as Kay and Tay act like they are fighting against each other for real. This music is entertaining enough to distract everyone else while Kay and Tay build up a large charge of static electricity in their fur and in their new weapon. Before long, they are slinging lightning around and then the guards are sent in to stop them but they continue doing this while fighting the guards. This all causes the air to start swirling around, faster and faster, leading to a sort of hurricane like storm that destroys the enclosed coliseum they are in, in a spectacular fashion.

Another thing in this sequel would be Su Ling getting a partner of her own. Her partner would be another female cat, but would be a ninja who specializes in ranged attacks.

Another thing I would like to have in this sequel would be the partial randomization of the layout of each level and the exact size, shape, and location of the assets within each level. while most levels would still have a particular theme, the randomized layout of these levels and a few randomized "extra" levels would help make the game have that new feeling on each replay, extending it's replayability.

Over 1000 views so far... not bad, but only a few replies by anyone other than me. Please feel free to participate in the conversation and say what you think. Perhaps we could even convince THQNordic Games to implement my ideas and make this Legend of Kay sequel. And remember, I haven't shared my whole idea yet

Another idea for this game is being able to fight with physical combat, without the use of weapons. Fighting like this causes Kay and Tay to slowly become stronger and faster. As they continue to fight like this, they eventually awaken instincts from their distant past when their species used to be wild, four legged cats. This gives them a temporary but significant boost in their health, strength, speed and damage output. This extra strength and speed also allows them to perform more advanced techniques, moves, and "magic" they normally couldn't.
