    Hotfix 310710

Since the bug making children uncontrollable made the game unplayable we decided to provide a bugfix in this hotfix so you don't have to wait for the next patch.
This hotfix contains also a fix for the missing inventory after the character went to war.
This hotfix should be compatible with all fanmade patches but you have to start a new game.

In order to install the hotfix simply unpack the file Hotfix_310710.zip in your gamefolder and replace all files if you're asked by Windows.
This hotfix must be applied by all members of a MP-game otherwise it leads to OoS messages.

    In short:
    This hotfix includes bugfixes for:
    - Not controllable children after apprenticeship
    - Missing inventory after war

    This hotfix is:
    - Compatible to fanmade patches
    - Not included in patch 4.1
    - Not savegame compatible

Not savegame compatible - every time is little annoying, but its better to improve the game no matter if this is the cost.

I was hoping the hot-fix would fix my problems because I have crash to desktop all the time, my children (all of them) cannot move... etc etc etc ... this goes on and on and on...

The fix has the following effect here:
    1. Starting the game requires weeks: you cannot skip the videos and the videos only appear if you do CTRL-ALT-DEL three times.
    2. In-game graphics are completely broken like see-through houses, my avatar looks like alien now

    Completely unplayable! (skipped)

Completely unplayable! You are saying the game is cheap, at the moment I think 'worthless' is a correct description.
Do you have the latest drivers for your graphic card installed?

    @videos: Try changing your Config.ini file - SplashScreen=0 instead of =1

The hotfix just changes two scripts that have nothing to do with graphics at all. I'm sorry but if everything was fine before the fix then the error is not in the game.

    Well..

Installed the Fix, and now i can't start the game..

steam continually tries to start the game making the Launch box reappear about 100 times a second, only way to stop it is closing down steam entirely..

Wow, I just start to love Steam once more.. -.-

Does it work if you try to start via the GuildII.exe in the game folder while Steam is shut down?

    Well..

    Make a Guess..

The Game uses the Steam DRM ergo steam need's to run..
