View Full Version : short off power stones

hi im in the dwarven mines and im about to forge the weapon but the problem is that i have only two power stones and one is used to teleport the methrile to the smelting room and the other gets used in breaking it down and as you can see im left with non to use on the forging machines so can anyone help me tackle this problem. thanx

hmmm...i think i found at least 4...

-on the corpse outside the smelting room;
-in one of those four small rooms in the long hallway;
-2 (maybe more) in the mines section...

can't recall any others...hope that helps...

Keep searching. There are atleast 4 power stones in the mines. They aren't too hard to find. Hey look I rhymed. And again! :p

There are 5 to be found.

You need all 5. One to stun the big but stupid beast, one to transfer the big mithrill ore to the smashing machine, one to use for operate the smash machine again, and two for the smelting and forging process... total 5.

And actually you don't NEED one for the teleporter, you could just carry the huge chunk o'metal all the way to the crusher, if you can only find 4.. and someone said that you can kill the beast using only the lava, so maybe it's possible to finish the game using only 3?

You only need 4. The smashing machine doesn't need two stones.

the crusher needs 2 stones; one to stun the beast and one to crush the mithril =)

Oh, I never needed to stun the beast. I just ran into the adjacent room, grabbed the key, pulled the lever, and jumped over the beast when it came up the stairs to get me. then I opened the floor, jumped over the lava, and well, roast hell-hound for dinner. :)

I tried it that way once as well. But I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to be doing. I ran into the little room with the stairs & lever and locked the door. The beast couldn't get in but I could see his head poking through the door.

And if you're like me, you probably saved your game in that room, and over-wrote your other saves, right?

I'm just lucky I went down there early in the game, I would have been mad if I was really far and had to start over again...
